Neang, a young Bunong mother, refuses to leave her ancestral village, flooded by the construction of a hydroelectric dam in northeastern Cambodia. As authorities and a Chinese rubber company threaten their land, Neang struggles to rebuild her life, protect her family, and preserve the spiritual connection she has to this land. Six years of filming document and illustrate the courage of a woman facing loss, injustice, and the gradual disappearance of a cultural and territorial heritage.
