Synopsis
After experiencing a traumatic event in Igloolik, a small village in Nunavut, Uyarak leaves her community and family to live in Montreal. When the closures and confinements of the Covid-19 pandemic isolate the Canadian Arctic from the rest of the world, she is further separated from her closest friend, her older sister Saqpinak. The film becomes a series of vignettes about grief and reconnection – as the two sisters embark on a difficult healing journey that will remind them of the importance of community, culture and family.
