SYNOPSIS

Conversation with an Elder. After living in the territory and spending years of abuse in residential schools, Pekuakamiulnu Thelesh, through her resilience, overcame her traumas to become a cultural carrier and an inspiring Kukum. She represents all of those elder survivors of residential schools who proudly carry and pass on the cultures and languages in Aboriginal communities across Canada.
