Kateri Aubin Dubois

Kateri Aubin Dubois, 39, of Wolastoqey descent and a member of the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation in Quebec, has been a beadwork artist since 2015. She uses her Indigenous name, Nisnipawset, which means Two Moons, as her artist name for her creations. Her learning journey began during her studies at Concordia University with a workshop on fringe earrings. She then became self-taught to further her knowledge and weaving techniques. Today, Kateri mixes traditional designs and techniques to create original and contemporary pieces. Her dream is to one day open her own boutique and feature Indigenous artists from Eastern Canada and the United States.
