Dan-Georges McKenzie

Born in Manitoba and now residing in Montreal, Geneviève Toupin is a bilingual Métis singer-songwriter and musician. She is an active part of Montreal’s music scene, founding member of the electro-pop group CHANCES, singer in Danse Lhasa Danse as well as in Jorane’s new project. In 2014, she released her critically acclaimed self-titled album under the alter-ego Willows. What followed were a very busy few years: over 100 shows throughout Canada and Europe including international festivals such as Montreal’s Francofolies and Pause Guitares in Albi, France, Canadian Folk Music Award and Gamiq nominations and a Trille Or for Best Album out of Western Canada, numerous TV and radio appearances including APTN’s Indigenous Day Live Celebrations, and Radio Canada’s En Direct de l’Univers. In January 2021, she released a five song EP The Hills and is currently working on new songs for an upcoming francophone album.
