9th international conference Revisioning the Americas through Indigenous Cinema
The international conference Revisioning the Americas through Indigenous Cinema will bring together from twenty to thirty scholars, students, directors, producers, and other professionals working in Indigenous film and media, as well as members of local communities with the goal of fostering a multivocal, place-based, and globally networked reflection on Indigenous cinema in its various dimensions.
The 9th conference is organized from Queen’s University, in partnership with Terres en vues and in collaboration with the Language and Cultural Center Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa. It will be held in Montréal and in Kahnawà:ke in the following spaces:
August 9: National Film Board of Canada (Espace ONF), Montréal
August 10: Université du Québec à Montréal, J-1450, Montréal
August 11: Kanatahkwèn:ke Cultural Arts Center, Kahnawà:ke
