When an abandoned refrigerator mysteriously appears on the road to a small, forgotten, and depopulated village, resourceful young girl Sotera sees a business opportunity and tries to sell it. But the appliance is far from ordinary: strange apparitions emerge from it, unsettling the villagers. Sotera’s parents, like many other villagers, have left to work in the United States. Amidst family entanglements and strained relationships, the refrigerator becomes a symbol of the existential struggles of La Raya.
