They say the river is poisoned, that its trees have been cut down upstream. The course of events has taken a new turn and fish has become scarce. And yet the river’s spirit still speaks to the Wichi people (Upper Chaco) and the stones are heavy with rumours. The community’s schoolteacher decides to find out more.
