At the 5th Gala Evening of the Mishtapew
Excellence Award, LAND InSIGHTS received the Prix de la
Francophonie from Société Radio-Canada.

Ce gala, qui a réuni plus de 300 intervenants de
l'industrie touristique, a permis à Tourisme Montréal
de souligner les efforts et le dynanisme des entreprises
qui ont accompli des réalisations remarquables en
2002

Mayor's Scholarship
Award for Youth
|
On
February 7th, 2003, Land InSIGHTS and la Fondation du Maire
de Montréal pour la jeunesse announced urbi et orbi the cultural
grant to be awarded to young First Nations people living in
Montreal or in Kahnawake. Something new for this scholarship's
second year of existence: Kanien'kehaka Onkwawén:na Raotitiohkwa
has joined together with the other partners in order to provide
young people from the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake the opportunity
to submit their projects in the 2003 batch. The grant is set
aside for young people from 18 to 35 years of age with projects
in any arts or cultural field. Ms Marguerite Blais, president
of the Fondation du Maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse, Mr
Guy Versailles, vice-president in charge of communications,
marketing and public relations of the Fonds de solidarité
FTQ, Kanatakta, Executive director of Kanien'kehaka Onkwawén:na
Raotitiohkwa, Myra Cree and André Dudemaine all lent their
eloquent voices to the official inauguration of the 2003 competition
and to congratulate last year's winner, Elisapee Isaac, an
Inuit singer. |
