For the National Indigenous History Month
Land InSights presents song, poetry, theater and celebration
Montreal, June 10th, 2021. In this month of June that celebrates Indigenous History, Land InSights
is pleased to offer a rich and varied program that begins with an intimate concert with Matiu on
Friday, June 18th, 2021, starting at 7:00 p.m. This event will be broadcast live from the Grande
Bibliothèque, on the First Peoples' Festival Facebook page; subsequently available online until
June 20th.
“Les poètes météores”, a tribute to the Piekuakamilnuat poets Édouard Itual Germain and Jeanne-
Mance Charlish, will be held on June 19th, 2021, at 7 pm with the participation of Joséphine Bacon,
Rita Mestokosho, Andrée Lévesque-Sioui and André Dudemaine. This show, conceived by Laure
Morali, will be broadcast from the Grande Bibliothèque and will be accessible until June 26th on
the First Peoples' Festival networks.
Land InSights is also associated with the presentation of "L'enclos de Wabush", a production by
the Ondinnok company with the Nouveau Théâtre Expérimental. By author Louis-Karl Picard-
Sioui, an incursion into the fragmented universe of Kitchike, an imaginary reserve in Quebec
today. Available for free in webcast from June 4 to July 4, 2021.
Finally, on June 21st, at first light at the First Nations Garden, with a sunrise ceremony celebrated
by Kanien'kehá:ka Elder Sedalia Fazio, a ritual that will be exceptionally broadcast live on the First
Peoples' Festival Facebook page.
