Iskwé

Iskwé

Iskwé is a Dene-Cree and Irish singer-songwriter, prominent on the Canadian music scene. At the heart of his artistic vision: an intercultural aesthetic that explores his struggle for both merging and detaching from modern Western archetypes. Her latest album, The Fight Within, was nominated for the 2017 Juno, and she recently made the long list of the 2018 Polaris Prize. With a sound palette inspired by the dark atmospheres of the 1990s, Iskwé's music is a force without complacency. This is her true rallying cry.

Chances

Chances

Their sound is a unique blend of influences, marrying pop-indie, electro and songs of the world, and drawing on French, English and Métis Canadian cultural baggage within the trio. The vocal harmonies intertwine and rise above powerful sections of percussion and synthesizers that unfold. What hinders one is a source of inspiration for the other. Dead ends become playgrounds. Trust the movement. It does not matter the destination.

Anachnid

Anachnid

A woman from the sky who falls on earth, Anachnid is a multidisciplinary Oji-Cree artist based in Montreal. Strong and enigmatic. Her animal totem: the spider. Violent Ground

Violent Ground

The name of the group is inspired by the harsh reality of the community of Kawawachikamach: drug addiction, alcoholism, violence ... The two brothers Allan and Christian Nabininacaboo grew up there. After writing songs about what they themselves call "useless things," they became interested in their Naskapi culture, territory, and nation. Now based in Montreal, they are rapping with endless energy and a natural flow to give a voice to their community and their people.
