The Indian Act Revisited

The Indian Act Revisited is the first collective contemporary art exhibition produced by the Huron-Wendat Museum. Bringing together eight First Nations artists from across Canada, the exhibition revisits the more than 100-year-old legislation that continues to govern most First Nations from coast to coast. Moving, reflective, and satirical, the works in this exhibition explore, article by article, the impact of the Act on the lives of the artists themselves and their communities.

Under the superintendency of Louis-Karl Picard-Sioui, artists revisit this Act in their own way, one section at a time.
