A team of filmmakers from the Wiwa, Kogui and Arhuaco communities in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta – “the heart of the world” as they call this region – send the world the alarm message from their spiritual leaders. Rarely taking the spotlight in public, the traditional authorities, or Mamos, speak directly to the camera, explaining the actions that must be taken in light of the Sierra Nevada’s cultural and environmental vulnerability.
