In Atalaya, Amazonian Peru, indigenous organizations observe that their medical traditions are on the route to extinction and members of their communities don’t have access to Western medicine either. Thus, they decide to found an Intercultural Health Centre to train Indigenous healers to use both types of medicine. A look at this novel experience.
