Building the Inuit Homeland is a 7-part docuseries initiated by the Makivik Corporation, that tells the story of what the Inuit of Northern Québec have made of their territory since signing the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement in 1975. Delving into the struggles and achievements to protect their language and culture, build an Inuit-centered economy, and push the governments for greater Inuit self-determination, the series aims at providing a different perspective of the north.
