  • Programmer and coordinator – cinema for the International First Peoples Festival

    Land InSIGHTS’ mission:

Develop links between the artistic rebirth of the First Peoples and the cultural dynamism of a great metropolis, in a sustainable development perspective based on friendship among peoples, diversity of expression as a collective treasure to be shared and through recognition of the specificity of First Nations and Inuit.

    International First Peoples Festival:

The IFPF is one of the festivals that animates the Place des Festivals in Montréal, in the midst of the busy tourist season on the most prestigious site of the metropolis. Concerts, craft demonstration, traditional dances, street theater, etc. bring Aboriginal arts into the limelight. In addition, several indoor activities are part of the program: in particular, an international cinema competition with screenings every evening; and also, art exhibitions, public readings, masterclasses by Indigenous filmmakers, etc.
The International First Peoples Festival is the meeting place for the artistic movement that expresses, in the 21st century, the reality of Indigenous Peoples here and elsewhere. The 31th edition will take place from August 3 to 11, 2021.
