he did not personally participate in the conference of 1701, Teganissorens,
chief of the Onondaga, was the true mastermind of the Five Nations'
diplomacy. He wielded all of his influence to assure the neutrality
of the Iroquois Confederacy with the two European empires and a
comprehensive peace with all the members of the French-Amerindian
alliance.
